CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer battled back from an early deficit, pushing its unbeaten streak to seven in a double overtime draw against St. John's, 1-1, on Friday at Xavier Soccer Complex.
The Musketeers fell behind in the 11th minute, but got an equalizer from in the 44th minute to reset the match going into halftime. XU was outshot in the second half, but stepped up in goal with a career-high 10 saves to keep things level.
Overall, the draw moved XU to 3-0-4 (1-0-1 BIG EAST) on the season and continued the strongest start by a Xavier team since 2012.
