CHICAGO – No. 3/4 Xavier closed out the regular season with a down-to-the wire win over DePaul, 65-62, to win the outright BIG EAST Conference title for the first time since joining the conference. With the win, the Musketeers secure the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. Xavier built double-digit leads in both halves, but the Blue Demons' steadily chipped away at the advantage, getting as close as one in the closing minutes before the Musketeers secured the win to move to 27-4 overall and 15-3 in the BIG EAST.
Trevon Bluiett led four Musketeers in double figures, becoming Xavier's all-time leader in three point shooting in the process.
