CINCINNATI - No. 14 Xavier women's soccer's record season came to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Milwaukee in the NCAA DI Women's Soccer Championship at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers finish the season at 16-3-1 overall, winning the program's second BIG EAST Regular Season Championship, earning program best rankings in the United Soccer Coaches Poll (No. 11) and the RPI (No. 7) and earned the program's first at-large bid and home match in the NCAA Tournament.
Milwaukee (19-1) scored in the 16th minute. Xavier battled for the equalizer, holding a 10-3 advantage on shots overall including a 5-2 advantage on shots on goal.
