Chris Mack can recall a time not long ago when he was a young basketball fan and player growing up in Cincinnati, and the idea of Xavier University men's basketball winning an NCAA Tournament game was unfathomable.
"Xavier was barely on the map when I was in high school," Mack, now Xavier basketball's head coach of nearly a decade, said during a Sunday press conference.
On Sunday, perhaps more than any other day in Xavier basketball history, the Musketeers cemented they aren't just on the college basketball map but are one of the sport's capital cities.
