Dinner with the family tasted a little sweeter for Briana Glover Sunday night. The Xavier senior forward was going to have the upper hand on any conversation with her father, Cedric, and she knew there would be nothing he could do about it.
"I'm definitely going to be talking to him the entire time," said Glover after she scored 18 points, including a conventional three-point play with 2:41 left in regulation, to lead the Musketeers to a 65-56 win over Cincinnati at the Cintas Center in the women's edition of the Crosstown Shootout. Xavier ended the game on an 11-0 run to end a seesaw game in which the teams traded the lead eight times in the fourth quarter.
