CAYCE, S.C. - Xavier men's tennis' season came to a close on Friday afternoon, as the No. 5 seed Musketeers fell, 4-1, to No. 2 seed St. John's in the BIG EAST Championship Quarterfinals. The Musketeers finish the season at 5-16.
After and fell, 6-3, on No. 1 doubles, and picked up the 6-4 win on No. 3. and sent No. 2 doubles to a tiebreaker looking so secure the doubles point, but fell, 7-6, to go behind the Red Storm, 1-0.
Xavier tied the match, 1-1, when picked up the No. 5 singles point, 6-3, 6-0.
