CINCINNATI – Xavier men's soccer dominated possession, but could not find the net in a 0-0 double overtime draw at Northwestern on Sunday evening at Martin Stadium.
Xavier took a 10-2 advantage in corners and outshot Northwestern 22-3, but could not cash in on several dangerous opportunities including a late clearance off the line in double overtime.
The shutout was the second straight for Xavier, which did not allow the Wildcats to muster much of an attack all evening. Goalkeeper Zachary Nelson picked up his second shutout of the season without having to make a save.
