HAMPDEN, Mass. - Xavier men's golf placed sixth (out of 14 teams) at the UConn Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The three-day tournament was held at GreatHorse in Hampden, Mass.
Xavier played its best round of golf at the tournament on Tuesday, hitting 291 (+3). The Musketeers finished the tournament with a score of 900 (+36).
Sophomore Mason Witt posted his first career top-10 finish, placing tied for eighth (222, +6) in a field of 78 golfers.
St. John's won the tournament with a score of 885 (+21), while Seton Hall finished four strokes (889, +25) behind the Red Storm to take runner-up honors.
