CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 10-7 overall and 2-2 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the Butler University Bulldogs, 10-6 overall and 1-2 in the BIG EAST Conference, on Sunday at noon at Cintas Center.
Xavier leads the series with Butler 40-20, including a sweep of both games last season. Xavier has won three straight and 19 of the last 25 meetings, including 12 of the last 16. XU holds a 9-3 advantage since the two teams became BIG EAST rivals.
Xavier and Butler are long-time rivals. XU and BU are competing as members of the BIG EAST Conference for the sixth straight year.
