CINCINNATI - In the only home meet of the season, Xavier men's and women's swimming swept Cleveland State, posting wins of 161-97 on the women's side and 162-98 for the men.
The Xavier women took the top spot in 11 of 14 events for the and the men claimed first in 10 of 14 events for the first sweep of Cleveland State in program history.
"With 15 freshmen, we knew we would have a lot of unknowns early in the season and for us to win on both the men's and women's side for the first time ever against a historically talented Cleveland State team has us really believing in ourselves.
