MAUI – More than 20 years ago, Travis Steele, just a teenager, met Sean Miller on summer trips to Raleigh, North Carolina, where Steele's older brother, John Groce, was an assistant basketball coach at NC State with Miller.
Miller and Groce would put Steele through workouts and let him sit in on practices and meetings. It was a rare glimpse behind the college basketball curtain that left Steele addicted and inspired to follow that same path.
