WASHINGTON – J.P. Macura and Naji Marshall combined for 41 points on 15-for-25 shooting on Wednesday night, leading No. 4 Xavier to an 89-77 road win at Georgetown. The Musketeers swept the season series with the Hoyas, extending their win streak to five games in the series.
The Musketeers improved to 25-4 (13-3 BIG EAST), while the Hoyas dropped to 15-11 (5-10 BIG EAST).
• Georgetown raced out to an early five-point lead (11-6) at the 15:11 mark before the Musketeers responded with a 10-2 run to take their largest lead of the half, 16-13.
