NEW YORK - Following a 5-0 week for Xavier Baseball to extend its win streak to six, a pair of Musketeers earned accolades from the BIG EAST office, with Justin Loer earning BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week, while catcher Matthew DePrey was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Loer, a sophomore lefty from Lakeville, Minn., posted a 0.00 ERA through 6.1 innings pitched in two appearances last week, finishing the week with a pair of wins and seven strikeouts.
Against Wright State, Loer pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in relief, not allowing a hit or a walk, striking out five along the way.
