Jonas Hayes, who helped the Xavier Musketeers to an NIT Championship as interim head coach after the school parted ways with Travis Steele and before it hired Sean Miller, is finalizing a deal to become Georgia State's new head coach, according to a report Tuesday night via Twitter from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
"My heart and my decision-making is where my feet are, and I'm still in Madison Square Garden," said Hayes, per The Enquirer's Adam Baum, when asked about his future after Xavier's NIT championship win. "So I'm just going to take in the rest of this evening.
