Jerome Hunter, who has played the past two seasons for the Xavier University Musketeers after spending his first two seasons of college basketball with the Indiana Hoosiers, will return to XU next season and use his additional year of eligibility, according to a report Friday via Twitter from Jon Rothstein.
Hunter, a 6-foot-7 forward from Pickerington, Ohio, transferred to XU in May 2021 after playing two seasons in Bloomington. He averaged 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.8 minutes per game last season in 37 games, but played a pivotal role after entering the team's starting lineup to replace the injured Zach Freemantle.
