Xavier transfer Jason Carter, who played his first three college seasons at Ohio and said earlier this year he'd return to Athens to play for the Bobcats, received a waiver from the NCAA and is eligible to play during the upcoming season, according to a report Monday via Twitter from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
A forward for the Xavier Musketeers for the past two seasons, Carter entered the transfer portal last month as a graduate transfer. He can play one more season - which would be his sixth - thanks to the NCAA's free year of eligibility related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
