NEW YORK - After making an appearance in each of Xavier's three wins last week, junior left handed pitcher Jack Lynch was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Senior shortstop Jack Housinger also earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll.
Lynch, originally from Dallas, Texas, pitched a total of 6.2 innings in those three appearances, allowing just two hits and no runs for an 0.00 ERA for the the week, striking out nine along the way. Lynch pitched 2.2 innings against Michigan, allowing just one hit and striking out three in the 8-2 Xavier win.
