Like every other business, Xavier University’s men’s basketball program has had to adapt the last few months.
Travel restrictions and stay-at-home orders have effectively turned college basketball recruiting into a completely digital endeavor.
It’s a bit like learning a new language for coaches who are used to visiting prospects in person and watching them play or having them on campus.
Utilizing virtual campus tours, Xavier’s already signed two graduate transfers during the novel coronavirus pandemic, but the focus has largely shifted from the transfer market to recruiting high school players.
