MILWAUKEE – After a disappointing week at home with two losses in a row, Xavier (12-5) takes the show back on the road Wednesday night (8 p.m., FSN) at Marquette (11-5), and the script for both teams is remarkably similar.
The Musketeers and the Golden Eagles are both 1-3 in the Big East Conference and they're both coming off consecutive losses. Marquette's losses came against Providence and Seton Hall, while Xavier's were to Seton Hall and Creighton.
Xavier coach Travis Steele said his team's back was against the wall before it lost to Creighton, and now the water's rising on a team trying to stay afloat.
