CHICAGO – Minutes after Xavier staved off a late rally at Wintrust Arena Tuesday night in a 67-59 win over DePaul, there was a calmness to the Musketeers.
Make no mistake, they were excited. A second straight Big East Conference road win that puts the Musketeers at 15-8 overall and 4-6 in the league is more than enough reason to smile, but they were also composed and focused in a way they haven't really been since Big East action got started.
It was Travis Steele's senior duo of Tyrique Jones and Quentin Goodin who ultimately put the biggest smile on their coach's face.
