CINCINNATI - Sophomores and both posted double-doubles on Sunday afternoon as the Musketeers dropped a 73-71 overtime matchup against DePaul. Xavier had 2,257 fans in attendance, the team's second-largest home crowd of the season.
Xavier moved to 10-10 (1-8 BIG EAST), while DePaul improved to 15-6 (6-3 BIG EAST).
• DePaul jumped out an early 9-2 lead and led 21-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Blue Demons forced eight turnovers, converting the miscues into 15 points. led Xavier with seven points on 3-for-5 shooting in the opening frame.
• The Musketeers responded by opening the second quarter on a 12-5 run capped by an three pointer, getting Xavier within one (26-25) at the 5:05 mark.
