The Kelsey clan spent so much time on Interstate 71 from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s that it could have been named in their honor.
Let’s call it Kelsey Drive.
From following the 1985 Class AA state-championship Purcell Marian team coached by uncle Jim Stoll – mom Linda’s brother – to watching Pat Kelsey’s Elder team win the 1993 Division I state title to seeing Katie’s Roger Bacon team in back-to-back Division II state semifinals and finals in 1994 and 1995, the Finneytown family piled up the mileage.
