Makinde London’s tenure with Xavier’s men’s basketball team has ended.
The 6-foot-10 forward will transfer from after two years as a Musketeer, the university said. London red-shirted in 2014-15 and played sparingly as a freshman, averaging 1.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 5.3 minutes in 18 games.
“Makinde stated to us that he has a desire to transfer closer to home,” Xavier coach Chris Mack said in a release. “We appreciate Makinde’s contributions to our program and wish him well.”
London is from Tennessee. He spent his senior high school season at Montverde Academy in Florida.
London arrived at Xavier as a versatile player who could stretch the floor with outside shooting, but his consistency and strength remained works in progress.
