Former Xavier University star J.P. Macura, who played for the Musketeers from 2014-2018, announced Tuesday on Twitter that he's headed overseas to continue his professional basketball career in Turkey.
After two seasons in the G League with the Greensboro Swarm and Canton Charge – and two brief NBA appearances with the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers – Macura's headed to play for Afyon Belediye, a professional basketball club based in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey.
Macura played in 141 Xavier games and scored 1,491 points in his career. He was part of an Elite Eight run, the school's first Big East Conference championship, and the program's first-ever No.
