NASHVILLE – Chris Mack's last postgame address to the 96th Xavier men's basketball team hit notes that were equal parts somber and affectionate. He walked a fine line as he attempted to fast-track a healing process that could last weeks and months.
"I told them I loved them. I love coaching them. I felt bad for them," Mack said. "Wish I could have done more, you know, to earn the right to keep playing.
