Scott Springer on New Richmond pitcher Lane Flamm
NEW RICHMOND - According to DI Baseball, an analytic site, the No. 3 sophomore college pitcher in the nation is a Xavier Musketeer.
In two seasons since wrapping up his four-year varsity career at New Richmond High School, Lane Flamm has been on the radar for his 92 mile-per-hour heater.
Such interest could bring pro baseball dollars Flamm's way once he's eligible for the MLB Draft in a little more than a year. Ahead of Flamm at No. 2 is Slade Cecconi of the Miami Hurricanes, whom Flamm competed with at a Perfect Game function, and UCLA's Jesse Bergin.
