With a little more than a minute left in Sunday's game against Providence, the Xavier University men's basketball team's win probability was 3.7%, according to KenPom.com.
The fact that the Musketeers didn't fold in a situation like that is a promising sign. With its back against the wall, Xavier went out and took a game it needed to win against a Providence team that made a season-high 13 three-pointers at a season-high 60% rate.
The Musketeers took Providence's best shot from its two stars – David Duke (30 points, seven 3-pointers) and Nate Watson (17 points, 14 rebounds) – and lived to tell the tale.
