Emma McMyler and Michelle Zhang went head-to-head for 18 holes of the Women's South Atlantic Amateur on Saturday, with McMyler prevailing in what turned out to be a "last player standing" final round at the Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla.
The two players separated themselves from the field which included 96 of the top junior and collegiate players in the country who were all vying for the trophy of one of the oldest women's amateur tournaments in the country which dates back to 1926.
McMyler, who earned BIG EAST Player and Freshman of the Year honors at Xaiver, finished a 1-under 287 to earn a one-stroke victory over Zhang, the SMU commit who is currently ranked 22nd by the American Junior Golf Association.
