CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 18-12 overall and 8-11 in the BIG EAST Conference, will be the No. 8 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York. XU plays its first game on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. against the No. 9 seed Butler University Bulldogs.
Xavier and Butler play in Wednesday's first round for the right to take on top-seeded Providence on Thursday at noon in the quarterfinals.
The complete bracket was announced tonight by the BIG EAST Conference.
