Travis Steele’s office sits on the fourth floor of the Cintas Center. Xavier University’s head coach can usually hear the unmistakable sound of a basketball from the court his office overlooks.
It’s a sound he misses.
In the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic, coaches everywhere have had to adapt. The rules, for the time being, have changed as have the thought processes and daily routines across the country.
It’s created a new kind of operation for Xavier’s men’s basketball program.
“It’s an odd time,” said Steele. "But you still gotta find ways to be productive and grow and improve.
