Many student-athletes have sat across from Sister Rose Ann Fleming's desk at Xavier University, but there haven't been many like Romain Sato staring back at her.
Almost two decades ago, former Xavier basketball coach Skip Prosser introduced Sato to Fleming, who today serves as Xavier's special assistant to the president and the faculty athletics representative, but she spent the better part of three decades as an academic advisor to Xavier's student-athletes.
"Skip was absolutely determined that he was going to recruit and get Romain," said Fleming.
