Carlton Ties School Record for Blocks, Musketeers Drop BIG EAST Opener at St. John's

QUEENS, N.Y. - Freshman tied the school record for blocks (12) on Friday night as the Musketeers dropped their BIG EAST opener at St. John's in five sets (28-26, 27-25, 23-25, 20-25, 15-17). The Musketeers moved to 2-10 (0-1 BIG EAST), while the Red Storm improved to 12-5 (1-1 BIG EAST).

• Freshman posted a match-high 12 blocks, tying the school record for single-match blocks. posted 12 blocks against St. John's last season on Oct. 7. The 12 blocks are also the most by a BIG EAST freshman this season, while ranking fourth in the NCAA.

• Freshman led Xavier with a match-high 16 kills, the second most kills in a match by a BIG EAST freshman this season.
