The Big East Conference has decided to postpone the upcoming fall sports season due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Nearly a month ago, the Big East announced a plan to try and play a conference-only fall season, but Wednesday proved to be the tipping point.
For Xavier University that means men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's and women's cross country won't get to compete this fall, and it also impacts men's and women's golf, and men's and women's tennis because golf and tennis have split seasons that ordinarily start in the fall and finish in the spring.
