WALDORF, Md. - Xavier baseball scored three runs in the ninth inning to break up a 1-1 tie, taking a 4-1 win in game one at Georgetown. With the win, head coach Billy O'Conner hits 100 wins for his head coaching career.
Xavier took the 1-0 lead in the third inning after Ethan Hodge hit a one-out single to right field, and Jack Housinger hit a single to center field to drive him in from second base.
The Hoyas responded with a run in the fifth inning, on a solo home run, to put the game into a tie that held into the ninth inning.
