DAYTON, Ohio - A season-high 16 runs scored, with five RBI coming from Matthew DePrey, helped Xavier to a 16-8 win at Wright State on Wednesday, moving Xavier to 13-12 on the season.
Xavier took the first inning lead, scoring two runs on two hits, with Matthew DePrey driving in Jack Housinger with a double after he took a lead off walk, then coming around to score on a passed ball. The Raiders got a run back in the bottom of the frame.
The Musketeers posted a big inning in the second, scoring five runs on three hits, with DePrey hitting a two-RBI single after the bases were loaded with Alex Helmin, who was hit by a pitch, and Connor Misch and Jack Housinger got aboard with a walk.
