WACO, Texas - Xavier baseball fell in the series opener at Baylor, 7-3, in Waco, Texas, on Friday evening. Trevor Olson went 5.1 innings in his first start of the season for the Musketeers (3-5) allowing just two earned runs, and a three-run sixth inning helped send Xavier to the eighth in a 3-3 tie, but a late rally for the Bears put Baylor ahead for good in the eighth inning. The teams return to action tomorrow afternoon for game two.
Baylor scored a run in the third and fifth innings to take a 2-0 lead into the sixth.
