WASHINGTON, D.C. - Xavier baseball fell victim to a walk-off for a second straight game, squandering a pair of late leads and ultimately falling 5-4 in 11 innings at Georgetown on Saturday at Shirley Povich Field.
The Musketeers led 3-1 in the ninth and 4-3 in the 10th, but could not close the door in a tough loss that dropped the team to 11-19 (1-2 BIG EAST).
Georgetown got a walk-off single in the 11th inning from Alex Bernauer and improved to 9-20 (2-1 BIG EAST).
