On the heels of Makinde London's decision to transfer, Xavier announced sophomore Larry Austin Jr. also will leave the program to play elsewhere.
"Larry stated to us that he has a desire to transfer with a hope of getting more playing time," Xavier coach Chris Mack said. "We appreciate Larry’s contributions to our program and wish him well."
Austin played behind senior Dee Davis as a freshman and then behind freshman Edmond Sumner as a sophomore. With four-star commit Quentin Goodin coming in next year and Myles Davis a capable back-up at the point, extended minutes likely would have been hard to come by for Austin.
