CINCINNATI, OH - Nothing could go wrong for Xavier today, as all nine starters got at least hit and eight of them scored. Xavier put seven different pitchers on the mound, combining to allow just four runs. All that, with only one error in the ball game.
The fireworks started in the first with a three-run home run from the red-hot Tyler DeMartino. Wright State got one back in the second, but a two-run home run from Jack Housinger made it 5-1.
After a scoreless third, the Musketeers made up for lost time with a six-run fourth inning behind the strength of RBIs from Huntzinger, DePrey, Holtz and Helmin.
