Ahmeir Kyle Becomes First Musketeer to Compete in NCAA DI Singles Championships

ORLANDO - Xavier women's tennis' Ahmeir Kyle made program history on Sunday, becoming the first Musketeer to compete in the NCAA DI Singles Championships. Kyle fell 6-2, 6(5)-7, 6-3 to Paris Corley of LSU in the first round to wrap up a historic season for the senior from St. Joseph, Mich.

Kyle jumped out to a 2-0 lead in set one, but Corley, the No. 60 ranked player in the latest ITA National rankings for individuals, came back to take the first set, 6-2.

In the second set, Corley took a 2-0 lead before Kyle battled back to pick up two of the next three games to trail 3-2.
