A lifelong dream: How Travis Steele became the head basketball coach at Xavier University

At 13, Travis Steele knew what he wanted his life to look like, so without hesitation, and without a contingency plan, Steele set a path that could only lead one place: a basketball court.

There's no shortage of those in Danville, Indiana, his hometown. Throw a rock in any direction and there's a high probability it finds a court.

"Basketball was the center of our household in a lot of ways," said Steele. "I knew basketball was my passion from the time I was really, really young.
