The University of Wyoming women's soccer team opens the Mountain West portion of its season this weekend for two matches at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex, starting with a Friday match against San Diego State. Kickoff time has been moved up by an hour to 3 p.m. due to potentially inclement weather.
Wyoming comes off a disappointing 3-2 double-overtime loss last Thursday against South Dakota in a community outreach match at Thunder Basin High School in Gillette. That dented the Cowgirls record to 3-2-3 through the non-conference.
Sophomore Indianna Asimus leads the Cowgirls with four goals while sophomore Hannah Lee has made 25 saves in goal.
