University of Wyoming junior Ryan Wallen was named the Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Wallen, a native of Blaine, Washington, finished in a tie for fifth place earlier this week at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Chandler, Arizona. Wallen was under par in all three rounds in carding an 8-under par 208.
Wallen is the first Cowboy golfer to win the award since current PGA Tour member David Hearn did so in 2000.
