Wyoming's Megan Brunette and Aaron Derner posted the fastest 10,000-meter times in the Mountain West at San Francisco State's Distance Carnival on Friday.
Brunette, a junior, placed third with a time of 35 minutes, 21.58 seconds while Derner, a senior, finished 12th in 30:03.35.
Brunette's time is the 14th-fastest in the NCAA this season; Derner's time is the 24th-fastest.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will compete at the Tom Benich Invite in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Saturday.
