University of Wyoming libero Madi Fields was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The senior helped lead the Cowgirls (10-7, 5-1 Mountain West) to sweeps of conference foes San Diego State and Fresno State this past week. Fields had 21 digs in the two matches, including 16 against Fresno State, with 10 of those coming in the third set.
