University of Wyoming junior Ja'la Henderson capped her season with a 15th-place finish in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon.
Competing in a downpour, Henderson jumped 42 feet, 8.25 inches on her second attempt. Despite not advancing to the finals, Henderson still earned second-team all-America honors. She is the first Cowgirl to ever be an all-American triple jumper.
Georgia's Keturah Orji went 46-0.75 to grab the top seed heading into the finals.
