Wyoming's Daniel Reynolds wins NCAA title in weight throw

Daniel Reynolds completed his sensational track and field indoor season by earning Wyoming's first national title in 20 years on Friday in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Reynolds won the weight throw event at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship with a meet-record mark of 82 feet, 3.5 inches (25.08 meters). The senior not only set a PR but tied the mark for the No. 2 throw in collegiate history.

Reynolds' meet-record throw came in the event finals while he held a slim lead over the rest of his competitors. His title-winning effort topped the previous meet record of Wisconsin's Michael Lihrman, who threw 80-10.
