University of Wyoming sophomore Bryce Meredith was named the Big 12 Conference Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday.
Wrestling at 141 pounds, Meredith improved to 6-0 on the season with a 13-4 major decision over No. 8 Anthony Abidin of Nebraska on Saturday.
Meredith, a four-time state champion at Cheyenne Central, is now ranked No. 12 in his weight class by FloWrestling, Intermat Wrestling and Amateur Wrestling News.
This was the first Big 12 weekly award for a UW wrestler since the Cowboys joined the conference prior to the season.
