The Wyoming Cowboys sent four wrestlers into the semifinals of the 2019 Big 12 Wrestling Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday.
Branson Ashworth, Montorie Bridges, Hayden Hastings and Tate Samuelson all advanced into Saturday night's semifinals, which finished after Star-Tribune deadlines.
Ashworth won his quarterfinal match by a 7-2 decision, Bridges won by a dominant 16-1 technical fall, Sheridan graduate Hastings beat the No. 4 seed Marcus Coleman in a 9-3 decision and Samuelson won by 5-2 decision.
Those four, along with the team's six wrestlers still alive in the consolation brackets, helped the Cowboys place fourth in the team standings going into Saturday's late second session.
