The Wyoming wrestling team dropped to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big 12 after a 19-14 loss at No. 19 Iowa State on Saturday.
Junior Drew Templeman got the Cowboys off to a good start, earning a 9-1 major decision at 125 pounds. UW led the match 11-7 after victories by sophomores Bryce Meredith (Cheyenne Central) and Archie Colgan at 141 and 157, respectively.
But the Cyclones won the next four matches to take control of the dual. UW senior Tanner Harms accounted for the Cowboys' final points with a 3-1 decision at 285.
